Technical Project Manager (Product Development – Hardware/Firmware)
6-Month Rolling Contract | Limerick (Hybrid)
Overview
I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end development of electronic products, with a strong focus on hardware and firmware delivery. You will drive complex, cross-functional programmes from concept through to production, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain
- Own full product development lifecycle (concept → design → validation → production)
- Manage schedules, risks, resources, budgets, and change control
- Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers/partners
- Ensure compliance with development processes and regulatory standards
- Provide clear updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
Requirements
- 8–10+ years’ project management experience in electronic product development
- Proven delivery of hardware/firmware-based products
- Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
- PMP (preferred), PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Strong experience with structured methodologies (Agile/Scrum exposure beneficial)
- Experience managing external vendors and manufacturing partners
